SAP Business One tip
Remove Time Sheet? Only if Allowed
Practical guidance for getting the most out of your SAP Business One system.
Organizations track employee work time through various methods — project-based reporting, daily hour recording, or time-off declarations. Timesheets are important records for the organization and not only for salary calculation. Historical timesheet data reveals patterns about employee productivity and attendance habits.
Authorization Control for Deletion
To prevent accidental deletion of valuable timesheet records, SAP Business One introduced a new authorization control specifically for timesheet removal.
- When permission is granted, users can delete timesheets through context menu options or the Data menu
- The Web Client allows selecting multiple timesheets simultaneously in list view
- A "Remove" button is available when viewing individual timesheet details
- Unauthorized users are prevented from deleting any timesheet records
Protecting Valuable Data
This authorization feature ensures that timesheet data — essential for payroll, productivity analysis, and compliance — cannot be accidentally or inappropriately deleted, while still allowing authorized users the flexibility to manage records when needed.
