Customize The Enterprise Search

Search engines work best when they identify the most likely desired results amongst the possible results. The Enterprise Search in SAP Business One can be tailored to meet specific organizational needs for improved search results relevance.

Customization Process

Users access the "Search Customization" window from the search box. The default setup focuses on the Business Partner object, including 14 fields from 397 available in listed tables.

• Click the relevant table (e.g., OCRD) to expand available fields
• Drag the desired field into the "Field in Search Scope" column
• Set preferences for searchability and visibility
• Configure filtering options based on field type

Practical Example

After adding Currency as a search field, searching "EUR" retrieves all business partners with Euro currency. Searching "000" finds partners containing that code segment, with Currency available as a filter option for refined results.
