Go-Live of eTQ, MOC, and Waiver Management at UEP — Replacing Maximo with SAP S/4HANA

We are proud to announce that on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, SuperNova successfully went live with eTQ (Electronic Technical Query), Management of Change (MOC), and Waiver Management at United Energy Pakistan (UEP). Delivered natively within SAP S/4HANA, this go-live marks a significant milestone in UEP's digital transformation journey and the successful replacement of their legacy Maximo system.

Replacing Maximo with SAP S/4HANA

Previously, these critical processes were managed in IBM Maximo, operating outside UEP's core ERP. SuperNova rebuilt eTQ, MOC, and Waiver Management directly within SAP S/4HANA — consolidating them into a single, integrated digital core. This eliminates a standalone system, unifies data, and gives UEP seamless, end-to-end visibility across quality, change, and waiver processes.

The Key Challenge: Workflow

The major challenge in this project was workflow. eTQ, MOC, and Waiver Management rely on complex, multi-stage approval and routing processes with strict controls and accountability. Designing and building these robust workflows natively within SAP S/4HANA — while preserving the rigor UEP required — was the most demanding aspect of the engagement, and our team delivered it successfully.

The solution brings UEP's key governance processes into SAP S/4HANA with reliable, auditable workflows.
